How The Process Works
When disaster strikes your home, AYS is there for you every step of the way! We will meet and negotiate with your adjuster to ensure that your best interests and the coverage for the loss is maximized. We understand this is a difficult time for you and we want to make the entire process as easy for you as possible!The project process:
- AYS is notified of the loss and meets with the property owner to document, review and detail the loss.
- AYS prepares an initial estimate for your insurance company, using Xactimate Estimating, the insurance industry standard estimate software and pricing. We negotiate any differences.
- We meet with you and your adjuster to ensure that nothing is overlooked. All parties will be provided with the scope we will be working from.
- Your insurance company will provide you with an initial payment to get the work started. We do not require you to put any money out of your own pocket, other than your insurance deductible or any additional work you order.
- The project manager will keep the homeowner up to date as to status and estimated completion date.
- We will submit a certificate of completion to your insurance company once work is complete so they will release your depreciation check. You may just endorse the check and we will pick it up.
- If your claim is extensive, your insurance company may include your mortgage company on any payments. We can help you through this process as well, sometimes obtaining the mortgage company's endorsement or issuing status updates to your mortgage company, along with completion verification and payment release if they hold funds in escrow.
